In Africa Jewellery is a symbol of wealth, power, and social status. We use natural materials to heal and to cleanse the soul. Our colours are used to symbolise different elements of spirituality.

Our Journey
Growing up in London in the 90's I experienced a life full of different cultures, religions, opinions, and beliefs. Through curiosity and friendship, I developed an intrigue into the traditions and religious actions passed down through time within different cultures. Something that most cultures seemed to embody was the idea of an heirloom a trinket or keepsake to symbolise a person or a family history. This was sometimes in the form of Jewellery. I enjoyed hearing stories connected to these items which had been passed through generations. After immersing myself within so many cultures I started to crave a feeling of cultural togetherness for myself. What are my traditions as a young black man with Caribbean parents? I wanted to go back to discover what traditions existed within our original African heritage before our great separation. I believe there's a certain amount of displacement between black people, wherever they are 'from' and live, from the centralized African connection which has been somewhat lost. One of the traditions I learnt about was the representation of bead wearing and the many meanings it has. This is a well-practised tradition in Africa to this day. I designed my own beaded handcrafted jewellery as vessels to hold traditional significance and unity. We hope it does the same for you.
MOYO
Meaning: Life, well-being, good health, magic charm, or talisman.
MOYO is a word term or meaning used by the Chewa people who are based in Malawi. The language of the Chewa people is Chichewa which is the national language of Malawi. A population of 15 million people.
MANTRA
Meaning: A mantra is an affirmation to motivate and inspire you to be your best self. It is typically a positive phrase or statement that you use to affirm the way you want to live your life.
